This fellow was peacefully
munching grass in the side yard of my church. It was last Saturday afternoon.
We are in a suburban
neighborhood. Family homes, attentive
landscaping, busy streets and walking traffic describe our area. Still, deer are frequent visitors. It’s not unusual to see one or two, even
a family of deer resting or having a meal around wooded spaces, especially
surrounding our church parking lot. They
amble away but they do not panic.
Thanks to my stealth driving
this one wasn’t disturbed – stayed where he was; only stopped eating to
consider I wasn’t a threat. I got the
picture.
I was happy.

Seeing that beautiful animal
in his serene setting, the problems of the world didn’t matter.
What makes you happy?

Being able to go across the Hudson to visit my gem whenever I'd like. Shes the best :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Thank You! The morning after you arrive is my happy time. As you know I'm unhappy because your scheduling doesn't bring you early enough! Anxiety reigns 'til you arrive. I'm working on that. The day after I've seen you, happy thoughts prevail. Yes!
